Yuka H
Origami Instructor/Qualified Therapist.
Offering an art therapy at care centeres for the elderlys, and psychological counselling for people who suffer from mental issues.
She has been fascinated with Origami since her childhood.
As she enjoyed Origami with her school friends and had a really good time, she naturally obtained folding techniques which were demonstrated by her parents and school teachers.
Even thought she is an adult, she vividly remembers how much fun she had at making origami,
and those happy memories has stayed at the bottom of her heart until now.
Teaching how to make a paper crane at a cafe in London.
From 2013 to 2015, she stayed in the UK to study English.
During her stay there, she got an opportunity to teach how to make an origami paper crane to a couple who was sitting next to her.
The couple asked her to show them how to make it because they had watched her how she folded a paper crane.
She was more than happy to show them how it's made and at the same time proud to share a part of Japanese culture to people abroad.
After she returned to Japan, she decided to open her own Origami class for people who come to Japan and are interested in Japanese culture.
She has developed a unique technique of mixing the art of origami making, Japanese cultural experience and art therapy in her class.
She has been focusing on having an Origami class not only to be fun, easy and memorable experience but also therapeutic to people's well-being.
